Harrah’s Joliet Casino

Type: Casino
Location: Joliet, Illinois

Size:  Multiple Locations of Renovations
Completion: 2009

As gaming competitors, particularly those in neighboring states, invest a significant amount in their facilities, representatives with Harrah’s Joliet Casino felt it was the appropriate time to make their own investment in a substantial facelift.

Widler Architectural was tapped to serve as the design consultant of the renovation, which included a new VIP lounge called The Reserve, the addition of Ace’s Diner and the Blue Bar to the gaming floor. New carpeting, easier entry to the casino and a reconfigured pavilion with higher ceilings and richer acoustics now add to the gaming experience, while the installation of more than 26 plasma-screen televisions throughout the casino and pavilion areas allow for casino promotion broadcasting.

Widler Architectural led the construction management team in the coordination of the millwork and site design. As the representative for the leading design firm, Widler Architectural implemented quality control for this fast-paced, high-stakes project.
