PENSACOLA AVENUE

DESCRIPTION

Location: Chicago, IL

Requiring a major rehab and addition, this historic home was originally built in 1900. The focus was to expand this double-lot home while maintaining the historic charm and creating open space for the couple’s two young children.

An open floor plan now allows the kitchen, dining room and family room to seamlessly flow into each other. A sunken mudroom provides a transition from the yard to the family room in addition to basement access. A welcoming, large wrap around porch was created for the ultimate curb appeal, and adding to the “wow factor” the foyer showcases an eye-catching, decorative staircase.
