Location: Downers Grove, IL
The owner’s previous Downers Grove home was lost in a tragic fire in 2020, and Widler Architecture was brought in to create an entirely new space for them. The vision for this project was to convey a light and fresh start. The design was approached with the intention of capturing the essence of how the homeowners wanted their new space to look and feel after enduring such a traumatic experience.
Grounded in a state of luxurious comfort, our vision was to provide the homeowners with the free range to inject their personalities in a modern-inspired and distinctive way that allowed them to fall in love with and feel safe in their space again. With a European-inspired interior and serene off-white farmhouse exterior, this home complements the other homes on the street while emoting a calming presence. A roof deck off the main bedroom and a large yoga studio complete its oasis-like feel.
